The past ten years of my family丨Pamirs "moved" to live a happy life
Reporter Ma Bei, "Mom, look, the school issued a new uniform today! It's the blue I like!" On September 2, the day when the school started, Nurbhakti Asi, who lives in the Jiayuan Community of Kunlun, Akto County Er came home from school with her new school uniform and couldn't wait to share her joy with her mother. On September 2, the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Asir Tayir added new ornaments to his home. Photo by Aishahlikon Near noon, Nur Bhakti's father, Asir Tayir, came to his work place and skillfully processed the wood. Mom Gulgamila Maimaiti Yiming started to take care of her vegetable greenhouse. For the Asir family, the new life makes them happier. "Before we moved down the mountain, we lived in a stone house. My daily task was to put away 30 sheep, and the children had to walk 25 kilometers of mountain roads back and forth to go to school." Speaking of life before the relocation, Asir sighed. Ten years ago, the Nurbhakti family still lived in Charlung Township, Akto County, at the foot of the Pamir Plateau. Charlón means "the place where the mountains meet" in the Kirgiz language. In mountainous areas, the road to the village is rough and difficult, and flash floods often threaten the village. In 2017, 10-year-old Nurbhakti spent his daily life with the sheep after school. At that time, he always shouted to the foot of the mountain: "When can I get out of the mountain?" On September 2, the family sat around the sofa. Happy lunch. Photo by Aishariken In the fall of that year, Asir received the notice of the village's relocation for poverty alleviation and relocation. He was so excited that he did not sleep all night. Early the next morning, he signed up. In that year, more than 6,000 Kirgiz people moved from the depths of the Kunlun Mountains to the relocation site for poverty alleviation, Kunlun Jiayuan Community. After the relocation, Asir renovated the 80-square-meter new home with the 60,000 yuan he earned from going out to work. He purchased furniture such as sofas, beds, tables and chairs, as well as household appliances. The family moved into the new house beaming. "After moving here, my mother no longer has to go to the river two kilometers away to fetch water, and my father no longer has to chop firewood or pull coal in the winter. The school is right in front of the house, and I also have my own desk and wardrobe..." New life, Nurbhakti's happiness is beyond words. Moving into the new house, the Asir family encountered new problems: "I used to only be grazing, but I didn't know what to do after the move, which made me very anxious." Asir is not the only one who has this kind of confusion. In this regard, the People's Government of Charlong Town has continuously increased employment efforts in light of the actual situation of the relocated households. On September 2, technicians from the village came to the vegetable greenhouse of Asir Tasir (right) to learn about the harvest this autumn. Photo by Aishariken It didn't take long for the village to allocate a greenhouse to the Asir family. The couple participated in a training class on greenhouse planting techniques organized by the village. In 2018, he planted cowpeas and tomatoes in the greenhouse. "At the beginning, I didn't know anything, so the township government sent technicians to patiently explain planting techniques to me and help me solve problems." Asir said, the first year he went down the mountain, the vegetable greenhouse was given free of charge by the government, and in the second year he I rented 4 of them and became my own boss to teach others planting techniques. In 2018, the income was 30,000 yuan; in 2019, 38,000 yuan; in 2020, in 40,000 yuan; in 2021, in 46,000 yuan... In the four years since Asir and his wife have grown vegetable greenhouses, every household income has been recorded in the ledger superior. In addition to planting vegetables, Asir also signed up for the woodworking skills training organized by the community. With this skill, life at home is getting better and better. In Charlon Town, there are not a few relocated people like the Asir family who "earn" a happy life with their hands. At present, there are 1,033 greenhouses in Kunlun Jiayuan Community contracted to the relocated farmers and herdsmen. Each greenhouse has an average annual income of 16,000 yuan, which has led to the employment of more than 2,000 laborers. "Since I moved out of Dashan, there have been many happy events in the family. My brother not only went out of Dashan to study in the county, but also went to Xinjiang high school to study this year. My father always said that my brother is the pride of the family." Nurbhakti said. On September 2, the husband and wife had a good harvest of tomatoes in the vegetable greenhouse, and the family held the picked tomatoes in joy. Photo by Aishariken "I was a housewife in the past, but now I have not only learned planting techniques, but also obtained a chef's qualification certificate. In the future, I want to open a restaurant in front of my house," said Gurigamira. After dinner, there was a cheerful sound of musical instruments playing in the cultural activity room of the community. Asir greeted Gurigamira and hurriedly took the children to watch the show. "Don't look at us as just a community, there will be a lot of 'big guys' coming to perform shows for us, we call it 'Kunlun Jiayuan Dream Stage'!" Now, the Nurbhakti family is busier and knows how to enjoy Life. Sometimes the family still tells the stories of the mountains in the past, the people are still those people, but there are more possibilities in life.
